SINGAPORE, June 28 — Another 213 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Singapore today, with two Singaporean teenagers among 11 community infections.

The other 202 cases were foreign workers staying in dormitories, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore now stands at 43,459.

The two teenagers were among six Singaporeans to be infected.

One is a 15-year-old student at East Spring Secondary School, but she had not gone to school since the onset of symptoms, MOH said.

She was tested as part of proactive screening of school students who are "diagnosed with acute respiratory infection at first presentation to a doctor”, the ministry added.

The other teenager is a 13-year-old girl whose details have not been revealed.

Besides the six Singaporeans, there were five community cases involving foreign workers.

They were detected from proactive screening of workers in essential services, even though they are asymptomatic.

MOH said that the number of new cases in the community has increased, from an average of four cases per day in the week before to six in the past week.

The number of unlinked cases in the community has also risen, from an average of two per day in the week before to four in the past week.

Separately, MOH added five new places to the list of locations visited by Covid-19 patients while they were infectious.

These include the McDonald’s outlet in Tampines Mart and Mustafa Centre. — TODAY
