SEOUL, Oct 3 — Korean stars T.O.P and Nana are dating.

South Korean media outlet Dispatch reported today (Oct 2) that the two had grown closer after T.O.P cast Nana, whose real name is Im Jin-ah, in his music video for Studio54, filmed in January.

It also released photos of Nana and T.O.P together at a convenience store and outside an apartment building, adding that they spent time together on several separate days in the Seoul neighbourhood where the 35-year-old actress-singer lives.

T.O.P, whose real name is Choi Seung-hyun, had reportedly accompanied Nana until she left for her flight to Milan for fashion week in late September.

According to media reports, the 38-year-old rapper-actor’s agency, Topspot Pictures, confirmed their relationship to publication Osen: “The two first met and formed a connection while filming a music video, and after growing closer, they developed into a romantic relationship around June.”

T.O.P debuted in showbiz in 2006 as a member of boy group BigBang.

He received a 10-month suspended jail sentence in 2017 for smoking marijuana.

In 2023, he confirmed he had withdrawn from BigBang and made his comeback in the second season of Netflix series Squid Game as Thanos in 2024.

He released his solo album Another Dimension in April.

Nana debuted as a member of girl group After School in 2009 and its subgroups Orange Caramel and After School Red.

Over the years, she has appeared in various films, including The Swindlers (2017) and Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy (2025), as well as drama series Mask Girl (2023) and The Scandal (2026).

On Sept 22, she apologised for her appearance in The Scandal, where she plays a chaste Joseon-era widow, after she was criticised by viewers over her apparent lip filler.

Nana wrote on Bubble, a subscription-based messaging service for fans: “If my lips made viewers uncomfortable, then that was my fault.

“I think it was a personal choice that wasn’t the right one for me as an actor.

“I imagine that my fans, who love me, must feel hurt seeing the harsh criticism directed at me, so I’m even more sorry.

“From now on, I’ll do my best so that we can hear more positive things together.” — AsiaOne
