KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 11 — Malaysian BTS fans will be able to watch two of the K-pop group’s “Arirang” world tour concerts live at TGV Cinemas next month.
In a Facebook post, TGV Cinemas said the Buenos Aires concert would be shown on October 25, followed by the Sao Paulo performance on October 31. GSC Malaysia has also announced they will be screening the show on the same dates.
The Malaysian screenings fall a day after the respective local concert dates — October 24 in Argentina and October 30 in Brazil — because of the time difference.
Tickets will go on sale next Thursday, September 17, although TGV has yet to announce the participating locations, screening times and prices.
According to The Korea Herald, BTS’ label Big Hit Music said the two performances would be carried by about 3,800 cinemas across more than 80 countries and territories.
The Argentina date is the third concert of the group’s Buenos Aires stop, while the Brazil date is its second show in Sao Paulo.
Cinema distributor Trafalgar Releasing said they would be the first BTS live-viewing broadcasts from South America.
BTS will begin its 14-show South American run in Bogota, Colombia, on October 2 before continuing to Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo.
The group’s recently completed North American leg drew about 1.92 million concertgoers across 31 sold-out shows in 12 cities, according to Big Hit Music.
BTS are also scheduled to perform in Kuala Lumpur on December 12 and 13 as part of the tour.
