LOS ANGELES, Sept 1 — Katseye will head into the European and UK leg of “The Wildworld Tour” with just four members, as Sophia remains on hiatus to focus on her well-being.

According to The Korea Herald, HYBE x Geffen Records announced yesterday through Katseye’s official Weverse account that the 23-year-old singer will not participate in the tour dates running from today through September 17.

“Sophia is focusing on her well-being, and the company remains fully committed to providing her with all the support and resources needed,” the company said.

“We sincerely ask for Eyekons’ warm understanding, as our highest priority will always be the health and long-term well-being of our artists.”

Sophia’s continued absence means Katseye is currently promoting with four members — Daniela, Lara, Megan and Yoonchae — as Manon has also been on hiatus from group activities since February.

HYBE x Geffen first announced Sophia’s hiatus on August 7, saying medical professionals had recommended an extended period of rest and ongoing care. The company said at the time that her condition would be reassessed in September.

The break followed a string of missed appearances, including Katseye’s set at Hinterland Music Festival in the US and a Los Angeles screening connected to the group’s documentary.

The group has remained publicly supportive of both absent members.

“As Katseye, it’s so important to us to always prioritise our well-being,” Lara said during an appearance on NBC’s Today on August 15. “We stand by Sophia and Manon through and through. We ride for them.”

The timing makes Sophia’s absence especially notable as Katseye enters one of its biggest stretches yet.

Formed through the 2023 competition series The Debut: Dream Academy, the HYBE and Geffen Records group debuted in 2024 with six members and has quickly built an international following.

Its third EP, Wild, released on August 14, became Katseye’s first release to top the Billboard 200. Tracks including Pinky Up and Hootie Frutti have also reached the Billboard Hot 100.
