SINGAPORE, Aug 13 — Japanese pop phenomenon Yoasobi are giving South-east Asian fans just one chance to catch them in the region on their upcoming 10-City Dome & Stadium Tour 2026-2027 Super Planet — and it will be in Singapore.

The chart-topping duo, comprising producer-songwriter Ayase and singer Ikura, will perform at Singapore’s National Stadium on February 20, 2027, making the city-state the only South-east Asian stop on the tour.

Malaysian fans last saw Yoasobi on home soil at Zepp Kuala Lumpur in January 2024, meaning the Singapore concert will offer their closest opportunity to catch the duo live in more than three years.

The show will also see Yoasobi become the first Japanese music act to headline the National Stadium, adding another milestone to their rapidly expanding international career.

It comes roughly two years after Yoasobi’s previous concert in Singapore and reflects the dramatic growth of a duo who have gone from an unconventional Japanese music project to one of J-pop’s most recognisable global acts.

Formed in 2019, Yoasobi built their identity around turning stories and novels into songs, pairing Ayase’s electronic production with Ikura’s distinctive vocals.

Their breakthrough quickly extended beyond Japan.

Their 2023 single Idol, used as the opening theme for hit anime Oshi no Ko, became a global phenomenon and made history as the first Japanese-language song to top Billboard’s Global Excl. US chart.

The track was also the most-streamed song in Japan in 2023, further cementing Yoasobi’s position as one of the country’s biggest contemporary music exports.

Their international profile has continued to grow through appearances at major festivals including Coachella and Lollapalooza, as well as a performance at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

Yoasobi’s catalogue also includes Yoru ni Kakeru, the breakout hit that propelled them into the mainstream and helped establish their distinctive blend of J-pop, electronic music and literary storytelling.

Tickets for the Singapore National Stadium concert will cost between S$108 (RM345) and S$498, with the top-tier Platinum VIP Seated category offering perks including an exclusive gift set and lanyard.

Trip.com members will receive first access during a presale running from 10am to 11.59am on August 18, before general ticket sales open through Ticketmaster on August 19.

With no other South-east Asian date on the itinerary, Yoasobi’s Singapore show is shaping up to be a regional destination concert — and a historic one at that.
