LOS ANGELES, Aug 9 — Taylor Swift’s music has been removed from two videos posted by a Trump-affiliated TikTok account after the page openly taunted the pop superstar over using one of her songs.

Earlier this week, the Team Trump account — which was created during Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign — shared a video showing the president and Melania Trump watching fireworks while Swift’s August played in the background.

The caption appeared designed to provoke the singer, reading: “I’m sure @Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song! #taylorswift #maga #august.”

But by Friday, US TikTok users found that the Folklore track had been removed from the clip.

Instead, viewers were met with a notice stating: “The copyright owner hasn’t made this sound available in your country.”

According to Rolling Stone, another Team Trump video featuring Swift’s Father Figure, which was posted in November 2025, has also had its audio stripped.

It is not clear, however, whether Swift herself or her representatives directly requested either removal.

The move does not appear to amount to a blanket ban on the use of Swift’s music by Trump-linked accounts.

An official White House TikTok uploaded last November reportedly remains online with Swift’s The Fate of Ophelia as its soundtrack.

The latest episode adds another chapter to the increasingly combative relationship between Swift and Trump.

Swift endorsed Kamala Harris during the 2024 presidential election, prompting an angry reaction from Trump, who later declared on social media: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT.”

Since then, the Team Trump TikTok account has repeatedly used Swift’s music in videos in what appeared to be deliberate attempts to needle the singer.

The White House has also taken aim at Swift directly.

In July, the White House posted a series of memes about the singer on the day she married Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden.

Trump’s irritation with Swift stretches back well before the 2024 campaign.

Ahead of the 2018 midterm elections, Swift publicly backed Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredesen over Republican Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee.

Trump was asked about the endorsement outside the White House and dismissed Swift’s knowledge of Blackburn.

“I’m sure Taylor Swift knows nothing, and doesn’t know anything about [Blackburn],” he said.

He then added: “I like Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now, OK?”

The latest removals mark another twist in the long-running feud, with Team Trump continuing to invoke Swift even as some of her music disappears from its posts.
