SEOUL, Nov 12 — Hybe subsidiary ADOR has announced on social media that two of the five NewJeans members have agreed to return to the agency and adhere to the recent court ruling on their contract status.
The two members who Ador confirmed are returning are Hyein and Hyerin.
In the statement, Ador said:
“NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to continue their activities with ADOR.
After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR,
the two members have decided to respect the court’s ruling and comply with their exclusive contracts.
ADOR will do its utmost to ensure that Haerin and Hyein can smoothly continue their entertainment activities.
We kindly ask fans for your warm support and respectfully request that you refrain from making unfounded speculations about the members.
Thank you.”
The Seoul Central District Court ruled on October 30 in favour of ADOR, rejecting NewJeans’ claims that mistreatment had led to the “irreparable breakdown of trust”.
As for the other three members Hanni, Danielle and Minji, no statement has been released by either of them at press time.
