KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 — As BTS fans try to come to terms with the enlistment of J-Hope in the military, fellow group member Jimin has taken to social media post to lend some moral support to his bandmate.

Taking to fan platform Weverse, Jimin, or his full name Park Ji-min, shared several pictures of him with J-Hope aka Jung Ho-seok, and captioned it with just a purple heart emoji.

Meanwhile, 29-year-old J-Hope reassured the group's superfans known as ARMY via a post showing a handwritten note that he would have a good trip.

The post also showed a picture of him in cropped hair.

According to Koreaboo, J-Hope had been trying hard to assure fans that his enlistment is no big deal and he will be back soon.

Fans however got all worked up when he appeared with cropped hair on fellow BTS member Jungkook's livestream where he revealed that the short hair was his preparation to go to the military.

J-Hope is the second member of the band to be enlisted in the mandatory military service after Jin, who joined in December.

All able-bodied men in South Korea between the ages of 18 and 28 must serve in the military for up to 21 months.

The military enlistment of BTS members has drawn attention from not just fans but also South Korean politicians.

Some lawmakers proposed granting the hit group an exemption from mandatory military service to allow them to continue to perform instead but the band's agency announced last year that all members planned to complete their military duty by 2025.
