KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 21 — Taiwanese Mandopop star Wang Leehom is set to make a comeback after almost a year of stepping out of the limelight due to allegations of infidelities by his ex-wife.

Chinese variety show Tian Ci Dr Sheng Yin (Godsend Voice) is said to be keen on inviting the heartthrob to perform in the show, 163.com reported.

The show is said to be aired next year where besides Wang, other celebrities like Diamond Zhang, Tiger Hu and Angela Zhang have been invited to perform.

Social media users also managed to find out that Wang’s work that was previously removed from Weibo has been reinstated.

Responding to the news, some fans were happy that their idol would resume work soon while others were not so optimistic pointing to his chequered past.

Wang had in December last year announced via social media that he had formally split with his ex-wife Lee Jinglei after eight years of matrimony.

Lee then went on social media to accuse Wang of infidelity and hiring sex workers.

Wang later said he would be taking a break from showbiz to spend time with his parents and three children and to make up for the damage caused by the controversy.
