LOS ANGELES, April 14 ― Horror came to Hollywood on Thursday (April 12) when the new film Truth or Dare had its premiere at the Arclight Theater.
Cast members led by Tyler Posey and Lucy Hale launched the film, which sees a group of teenagers whose game of Truth or Dare becomes deadly when an outside force begins to get involved.
The cast all shared a vacation with each other prior to filming so that they could seem like lifelong friends in the film.
Cast member Violett Beane, who plays Markie Cameron in the film, said "I think so many TV shows and movies take for granted that actors have to act like they're best friends or they've been dating for 10 years and they just met each other two minutes ago, it's insane. So the fact we were able to go to Mexico and bond completely took that away and I think you can see that in this friend group, there's this connection with everyone.”
The film is the latest production from Blumhouse, Jason Blum's production company, which produced Get Out, Whiplash and Paranormal Activity.
Like many other Blumhouse films, Truth or Dare has a Friday 13th release date and is in cinemas now. ― Reuters
