KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 20 — Singer Sufian Suhaimi, who called off his engagement to actress Elfira Loy has maintained that they are both still on good terms.

The young celebrity couple made officially broke off their engagement on Sunday when Elfira’s father Ahmad Sabri Ariffin returned the ring, in accordance with Malay tradition.

After a few days of keeping mum, Sufian told Kosmo that he has accepted all stipulations and there were no hard feelings between them.

"I am satisfied with the stipulations and all has been done according to custom. Thank you all for your kind prayers.

"Our engagement has ended but our relationship remains cordial. There are no grudges between us — I pray that Elfira finds a good soulmate and I hope she prays the same for me,” he told Kosmo.

Not wanting to say much about his unfulfilled love story, Sufian said he intends to nurse his broken heart with writing a song.

"I’ll remember March 23 or 24 as my initial wedding day. If all goes well, I’ll share my breakup experience with all of you through a song,” he said.
