LOS ANGELES, Jan 23 — Britney Spears has announced plans to take her Vegas show on the road, with shows slated for this summer in cities across North America, Europe and the UK.

The singer revealed the tour plans via Instagram, beginning with the post, "You all... I can’t tell you how much I miss performing the #PieceOfMe show! Which is why....” and then spilling the beans in a second post that reads: "I’m so excited to announce that we’re bringing the #PieceOfMe tour to select cities in North America, Europe and the UK! See you guys this summer.”

Spears’s "Piece of Me” residency opened in Las Vegas in 2013 and ran through December 31 of last year, when it closed after 250 performances. The show features many of the singer’s hit songs and includes a wide array of costumes, settings and choreography.

According to Spears’s website, the "Piece of Me” tour will get under way on July 12 in Maryland and will continue with a string of US East Coast shows through July 29. A European tour leg then launches on August 3 with a show in Brighton, UK, followed by additional UK and European dates through August 24.
