The movie follows Tatum as the titular Gambit, also known as Remy LeBeau, a mutant who has the power to charge objects with kinetic energy — with his most notable weapon being playing cards.

The last time the character appeared on the big screen was in the 2009 movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which was played by Taylor Kitsch.

Gambit is scheduled for release on February 14, 2019.
