KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 — Ed Sheeran has confirmed that his Singapore shows on November 11 and 12 will go ahead as planned.
And that means one thing, Malaysian fans: His sold-out Kuala Lumpur date at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil on November 14 is also a go.
Although co-organiser of the Malaysia gig, PR Worldwide, have yet to issue a statement to confirm this, AEG Presents, organiser of the gigs in Singapore, have issued a statement on behalf of Sheeran stating that he has received the greenlight from his doctors to proceed.
"A follow-up visit to my doctors today confirmed that I will be good to go from the Singapore shows onwards,” the statement read.
Sheeran gave Asian fans a scare last week when he announced on social media that he had been involved in a bike accident in London.
He suffered several injuries including a broken wrist, elbow and rib, which left him unable to play the guitar.
As a result, he was forced to cancel several Asia dates, beginning with October 22’s Taipei concert that was meant to kick off the Asian and Middle East legs of his ÷ (Divide) Tour.
The statement also confirmed that new dates have been set for some cities while others will remain cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.
"Osaka, Tokyo and Manila will be rescheduled for April 2018,” the statement continued.
"My dates in Taipei, Seoul, Hong Kong and Jakarta will sadly need to be cancelled as it’s just been impossible to reschedule these for next year.”
