LONDON, Oct 16 — Uh-oh! Brace yourselves, Ed Sheeran fans.
It looks like the popular singer-songwriter’s Asia tour might be in jeopardy following news that he might have broken his arm following an accident in London today — and this includes his Malaysia concert.
He is due to perform at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, on November 14, as part of his worldwide ÷ (Divide) Tour.
Mail Online reported that Sheeran was knocked off his bike in London when he collided with a car.
It is understood that he is currently at an undisclosed hospital awaiting his doctor’s prognosis.
He took to Instagram to reassure his fans that he is OK.
Unfortunately for Malaysian fans, the picture shared by Sheeran in the same message showed his right arm, which he uses to play the guitar, in a plaster cast, and his left arm in a sling.
In the accompanying caption, he wrote: "I’ve had a bit of a bicycle accident and I’m currently waiting on some medical advice, which may affect some of my upcoming shows. Please stay tuned for further news. Ed x”
Sheeran is due to begin the Asian leg of his ÷ (Divide) Tour this week, with the first date scheduled to take place in Taipei on Sunday.
His injury, however, has thrown the tour into doubt.
Sheeran is also supposed to be heading to Seoul, Tokyo, Manila, Jakarta and Singapore, among other cities in the region.
At time of writing, his management team had yet to comment on the situation.
If he is given the medical all-clear and makes it, his Malaysia date will be the second time that he has performed in the country.
He first performed here in 2015.
