LOS ANGELES, June 17 — Academy Award-winning actor Ben Kingsley has signed on to play Nazi Adolf Eichmann in the upcoming drama Operation Finale, which is to be helmed by director Chris Weitz.

The MGM drama/thriller revolves around the hunt and capture of the Nazi war criminal across Argentina in the 1960s, in an effort that was led by Mossad operative Peter Malkin.

Oscar Isaac has been tapped to play Malkin, the leader of a group of Israeli spies who held a deep hatred for the Nazis after they murdered his sister and her children, and had a particular obsession for hunting Eichmann.

According to Deadline, the project kick-started with a spec script MGM bought from British scribe Matthew Orton in late 2015, with the film now poised to begin production in Argentina in the fall of this year. — AFP-Relaxnews
