KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 — American-Korean actor Ken Jeong is joining the cast of Crazy Rich Asians.

The 47-year-old has recently been confirmed as part of the Jon M. Chu-directed film, as reported by Deadline.

Jeong is best-known as the foul-mouthed Mr Chow from The Hangover films. His most recent venture was starring in ABC’s recently-terminated Dr Ken for two seasons.

It is not known yet what role he will play in the film.

Crazy Rich Asians also stars Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Gemma Chan, Awkwafina and Michelle Yeoh. It is the first Warner Bros film to have an all Asian cast.

The film is currently being filmed on location in Singapore and will also be filmed in Malaysia.

It follows an economics professor living in America who visits her boyfriend’s hometown of Singapore to attend his best friend’s wedding. There, she discovers that her history professor boyfriend actually comes from an uber-rich family and is the most eligible bachelor in Asia that every woman in the elite social circle wants for herself.

Crazy Rich Asians is based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by Kevin Kwan. — CinemaOnline
