LOS ANGELES, April 1 — A girl, the pearl, and the Sparrow are being pursued by the ocean's dead in a new clip for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem and Orlando Bloom are joined by a number of new faces in the fifth instalment of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Kay Scodelario (The Maze Runner) becomes Carina Smyth, ambitious young astronomy scholar searching for a legendary artifact; Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent) is Henry Turner, son to Bloom's Will, who became captain of a ghost ship in the previous film.

Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg directed Dead Men Tell No Tales after helming the Oscar-nominated, oceanbound film Kon-Tiki and then the first two episodes of historical drama Marco Polo.

The US$320 million (RM1.41 billion) film is set for an international rollout the week of May 26, 2017. — AFP-Relaxnews
