Andrew Garfield snapped up for ‘Black Lion’

LOS ANGELES, March 29 — Andrew Garfield has landed a new leading role in the upcoming war drama Black Lion.

The Spider-Man actor will play the part of war correspondent Carlos Mavroleon, who became famous when he left his career in finance to become a correspondent in Afghanistan, Deadline reports. It is the latest in a string of leading roles for Garfield, who recently wrapped filming on the crime thriller Under the Silver Lake.

The script will be penned by Alessandro Camon, and Garfield will also produce the project alongside Rupert Fowler and Taplin Lundberg. — AFP-Relaxnews
