LOS ANGELES, March 8 — A biographical account of Neil Armstrong’s life in the lead up to his landmark 1969 moonwalk, First Man, directed by Oscar winner Damien Chazelle and starring La La Land lead Ryan Gosling, is due from October 12, 2018.

Adapting the James R. Hansen account First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong, and directing from a screenplay by Spotlight co-writer Josh Singer, First Man already looks like a strong contender during the 2018/19 Hollywood awards season.

Before then, Gosling is scheduled to appear in Terrence Malick’s March 2017 drama Song to Song and Denis Villeneuve’s October 2017 sci-fi Blade Runner 2049. — AFP-Relaxnews
