LOS ANGELES, Feb 15 — A first clip from April crime thriller Sleight shows how young star Bo impresses his passing audience with street magic tricks, dovetailing with an earlier trailer for the genre-splicing drama.

The clip provides original context for a line heard in January’s debut trailer, which cast Sleight as a family drama that escalates into crime thriller territory before sci-fi elements take hold.

"There’s so many things in our lives that can trap us... but these barriers only exist if we let them. You know, we can do whatever we want if we believe we’re able to.”

That’s what Bo says before pulling off an impressive card trick. If this scene takes place before much of the events in the debut Sleight trailer, it’s a belief he’s about to put to the test.

Headlined by Jacob Latimore of The Maze Runner and Ride Along, April’s Sleight is directed and co-written by JD Dillard of Star Wars: The Force Awakens production company Bad Robot. — AFP-Relaxnews
