TOKYO, Feb 15 — Japanese rock band Radwimps is preparing to release an English language version of their soundtrack to blockbuster animated movie Your Name on February 22.

A colossal success in Japan and abroad, body-swapping mystery Your Name tells the story of two high schoolers, separated by some 300 kilometres, who use their unique perspectives to make increasingly significant adjustments to each other's lives.

Released towards the end of 2016 and based on the writer-director's novel of the same name, Your Name has become the top-grossing anime film of all time, surpassing Studio Ghibli's Academy Award-winning Spirited Away and Oscar-nominated Howl's Moving Castle.

Its global box office receipts are in excess of US$300 million (RM1.33 billion), but Your Name does not officially arrive in US and Canadian cinemas until April 7, 2017. — AFP-Relaxnews
