LONDON, Dec 13 — Up-and-coming star Matt Terry was crowned the winner of the UK’s X Factor 2016 show on Sunday evening.

The former waiter claimed the title in the series final, which was filmed at London’s Wembley stadium and reportedly saw over six million votes cast by the public. He will now release his debut single, When Christmas Comes Around, written by pop star Ed Sheeran.

Terry took to Instagram to thank his fans, as well as share a photo with his mentor on the show, former Pussycat Dolls member Nicole Scherzinger. — AFP-Relaxnews
