LOS ANGELES, Dec 3 — Vin Diesel is still reeling from the death of close friend Paul Walker.

Walker died on November 30, 2013 after the car that he was riding in crashed and caught on fire.

Diesel, who is currently in Brazil promoting his new movie xXx: Return of Xander Cage, admitted that it was tough being in the South American country because "both times that I’ve been here, I’ve always been with my brother, Pablo.”

Pablo is Diesel’s nickname for Walker who he had worked with on the Furious franchise since it began 15 years ago.

Diesel was quoted by Entertainment Tonight as saying: "The last three years have been some of the hardest of my life because of losing my brother like that... It was a lot of tissues and it was a hard morning for me yesterday because I was here.

"But the irony is the whole cast reached out and his daughter, Meadow, reached out and all that stuff helps you get through it.”

The 49-year-old actor also said that he enjoyed filming xXx because it was a welcome change after a "difficult” Furious 7.

"Never in my life did I need to do a movie where I could laugh and smile and enjoy myself more than right now, more than the time I made this movie,” he added.
