LOS ANGELES, Nov 29 — Pitbull’s publisher is reportedly being sued over accusations that the rapper’s hit song Timber contains a stolen guitar riff.

Gossip site TMZ was the first to report the news yesterday.

The track in question is Steve Arrington’s Weak at the Knees, and William Underwood, who owns part of the rights to the song, is the one who made the claim.

Timber was released in 2013 and featured Kesha. It hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Weak at the Knees, on the other hand, was released as a single in 1983 on Steve Arrington’s Hall of Fame, Vol. 1, which reached No. 12 on the Top Soul Albums charts.
