LOS ANGELES, Nov 17 — The upcoming origins story of Robin Hood starring Taron Egerton in the title role has been slated for release in 2018.

Lionsgate has announced that the film will hit US theatres on March 23, 2018, reports Variety.

Jamie Foxx and Eve Hewson also star as Little John and Maid Marian respectively. Jamie Dornan is to play Robin Hood’s half-brother, Will Scarlet, in the story focusing on Robin Hood as a war-hardened crusader.

The film is directed by Otto Bathurst and counts Leonardo DiCaprio among its producers. — AFP-Relaxnews
