LOS ANGELES, Oct 29 — Eric Bana has signed on to replace Vince Vaughn as a serial killer seeking redemption in The Forgiven.

In the film adaptation of Michael Ashton’s play "The Archbishop and the Antichrist”, Bana will star opposite Forest Whitaker, who plays Archbishop Desmond Tutu, reports Deadline.

The drama follows a fictionalised account of Tutu’s meetings with murderer Piet Blomfield, who is seeking redemption for his crimes while serving a life sentence in prison in post-apartheid South Africa.

Directing is Roland Joffé, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ashton. — AFP-Relaxnews
