LOS ANGELES, Oct 28 — Gerard Butler has signed on to a third Fallen film, in which he will reprise his role as Secret Service agent Mike Banning.

Angel Has Fallen rounds out the trilogy of the Fallen franchise.

In the latest instalment, Banning’s enemies set out to take him down once and for all.

In addition to playing the titular character, Butler is also producing, reports Variety.

Production is slated to begin next year.

The second chapter, London has Fallen, released this year, also starred Aaron Eckhart and grossed US$195 million (RM818.86 million) at the international box office. — AFP-Relaxnews
