LOS ANGELES, Sept 28 — A24 has released the first teaser trailer for 20th Century Women, the Mike Mills-directed drama which may be in the running for Oscar contention.

The coming-of-age film, which stars Annette Bening, Greta Gerwig, Elle Fanning, and Billy Crudup, will screen first as the centrepiece film of the 54th New York Film Festival on October 8, before debuting in theatres in a limited release on Christmas day (December 25, 2016) ahead of a wider release on January 20, 2016.

Set in Santa Barbara in the late 1970s, the film centres on three women of varying ages, who teach a young boy about girls, life and love.

The feature marks five years since Mills’ movie Beginners won actor Christopher Plummer an Oscar (via Variety). — AFP-Relaxnews
