NEW YORK, Sept 25 — US First Lady Michelle Obama was a guest in The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and as proof of her popularity, she was welcomed with a standing ovation by the live audience that lasted well over a minute.

Talk show host Colbert started off by asking what she felt about leaving the White House after spending eight years during her husband US President Barack Obama’s two terms in office is up.

She shared that she has mixed feelings about it, and also that she has already told her daughters Sasha and Malia to start packing.

Colbert also asked the First Lady about her friendship with Beyonce. Obama said Beyonce was "a special person”, adding "She is great mother, she loves her family.”

Obama also shared the story behind her photo shoot with her husband that landed on the cover of Essence magazine as one of the photographs from the shoot went viral online.

After doing an impression of the American president, she also shared that everyone in her family does an impression of her husband, usually at the dinner table.

Last but not least, she burned Colbert when he asked her to explain what she meant when she told Oprah Winfrey that her husband was "swaggerlicious”. Check out the hilarious moment in the video above.
