LOS ANGELES, Aug 30 — Justin Bieber has scored an impressive eight Guinness World Records thanks to the success of his Purpose album.
Bieb’s ultra-successful studio album has managed to top the music section of the Guinness World Records 2017 edition book with set of eight record titles.
His fourth studio album Purpose was named the "Most streamed album on Spotify in one week” with a total of 205 million streams worldwide, while the first single off the album What Do You Mean was awarded the "Most streamed track on Spotify in one week” which garnered an amazing 30,723,708 streams in a period of seven days.
Bieber was named the "First act to occupy all top three positions simultaneously on UK singles chart” after his hit songs Love Yourself (No 1), Sorry (No 2) and What Do You Mean? (No 3) topped the UK singles chart.
Other categories were: The most followers on twitter (male), most simultaneous tracks on the US singles chart, most viewed music channel on YouTube (individual) and most subscribers on YouTube for a musician (male).
With 13 songs on the Hot 100 dated December 5, 2015, Bieber also managed to break the record for "Most simultaneous new entries in the Hot 100 by a solo artist”.
A team from Guinness World Records presented him with the certificates before one of his sold-out concerts at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
