LOS ANGELES, Aug 30 — Emmy winning actress Julie Bowen — Claire Dunphy in TV sitcom Modern Family — has joined the cast of Melissa McCarthy’s college comedy Life of the Party, due May 2018.

Already on board are Gillian Jacobs (Community), Maya Rudolph (Big Hero 6), Matt Walsh (Veep), and Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook).

Julie Bowen’s character will oppose the lead, played by Melissa McCarthy, who is known for Gilmore Girls, Bridesmaids and Spy, and also wrote and is producing Life of the Party with husband Ben Falcone, who’s to direct. — AFP-Relaxnews
