LOS ANGELES, Aug 25 — Samara returns to unleash horror in this first trailer for Rings, released by Paramount Pictures as the third instalment of the popular horror franchise that launched in 2002 with The Ring.

The film stars Matilda Lutz and Alex Roe as the latest victims of that eerie video from the first movie. This clip for Rings basically reminds you about what happens when you get a little too curious for your own good about the supernatural.

The official synopsis of the film reads: "A new chapter in the beloved Ring horror franchise. A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: There is a "movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before…”

The film also stars Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, and Bonnie Morgan.

Rings is set for release on October 28.
