LOS ANGELES, July 21 — Adam Nimoy has released the first trailer for The Love Of Spock in honour of his father Leonard.

Written and directed by Adam, the documentary looks back at Leonard’s life and career, as well as the lasting impact of his iconic Star Trek character Spock.

The clip is filled with intimate conversations by William Shatner, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and J.J. Abrams as well as behind-the-scene looks into Leonard’s life.

The film is set for release on iTunes and VOD on September 9.
