Here’s your first look at Pennywise from Stephen King’s ‘It’ reboot
Entertainment Weekly has released the first official image of the new Pennywise played by Bill Skarsgard on its Twitter account.

LOS ANGELES, July 14 — Stephen King’s novels are the stuff nightmares are made off and now we get a glimpse of Pennywise from the big-screen feature of It.

Entertainment Weekly shared the first image of the evil entity portrayed by Bill Skarsgard, that preys upon the local children in a small town every twenty-seven years, through a variety of powers that include the ability to shapeshift, manipulate, and possess.

Skarsgard is the second actor to play Pennywise following in the footsteps of Tim Curry’s iconic performance in the original It film in 1990.

"It’s such an extreme character. Inhumane,” the site quoted Skarsgard as saying. "It’s beyond even a sociopath, because he’s not even human. He’s not even a clown. I’m playing just one of the beings It creates…It truly enjoys the shape of the clown Pennywise, and enjoys the game and the hunt. What’s funny to this evil entity might not be funny to everyone else. But he thinks it’s funny.”

It follows a group of children terrorised by the shape-shifting creature that most often appears in the form of Pennywise. The film is set to be released in two parts with Part One focusing on the group of teens called the Losers Club, while the second instalment follows the same characters as adults.

If you’re already afraid of clowns, this won’t do you any good and you might want to avoid September 8, 2017 which is when It is set for release.
