LOS ANGELES, July 12 — It’s just a matter of days till the release of Ghostbusters and we’ve got some details that you’ll want to know before you head to the cinema to catch the film. 

Do note that from here on, there are spoiler alerts so proceed ahead at your own will. With post-credit scenes being the "in” thing at the moment, you’ve probably been wondering if the Ghostbusters reboot will include any and the answer is yes.

In fact, the post-credit scene has a major reference from the original film that fans will recognise. In the scene, the victorious all-female team are once again hard at work in a newly-built lab with Patty (Leslie Jones) analysing some paranormal audio.

While Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon fiddle with gadgets, Patty suddenly looks up from the machine and says she thinks she's got something to the rest of the team.  

"Guys, who’s Zuul?” she asks, as her partners seem clueless and give a collective shrug.

Those familiar with the 1984 movie will immediately recognize the name as the demigod, Gatekeeper of Gozer and primary antagonist that takes over the body of Sigourney Weaver's Dana.

To jog your memory, Zuul is the primary antagonist (also known as the Gatekeeper of Gozer) from the original 1984 Ghostbusters who possessed Sigourney Weaver’s character Dana Barrett. Could this mean that we might be looking at another Ghostbusters film with Zuul in it?

Ghostbusters is set for release on July 14.
