LOS ANGELES, July 12 — Ex-Franz Ferdinand guitarist Nick McCarthy has debuted the first song from his new band "Manuela,” ahead of the group’s first album release.

The track, dubbed Cracks In The Concrete was recorded in McCarthy’s Sausage In Hackney studio and co-produced by Sebastion Kellig, notes NME and talks about "the potential of things breaking and breaking up things,” the artist outlined.

McCarthy, who parted ways with Franz Ferdinand last week citing family commitments, started "Manuela” with his wife, singer Manuela Gernedel.

The group’s debut album is expected shortly and is said to feature guest vocals from artists including Jim Dixon (Django Django), William Reese (Mystery Jets), Roxanne Clifford (Veronica Falls) and Paul Thomson (Franz Ferdinand). — AFP-Relaxnews
