Rosyam Nor: Kabali to land in Malaysian cinemas the same day as India

KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 — The much anticipated Tamil film, Kabali, will finally be released in cinemas this 1 July 2016.

The confirmation was provided by actor Datuk Rosyam Nor who also stars in the film alongside Indian superstar Rajinikanth.

“Yes, I have received confirmation from the Malaysian distributor of the film, Malik Streams Corporation who said that the film will be released this 1 July,” said the actor to Cinema Online when met at GSC Nu Sentral.

The actor had just shot a promotional video for the upcoming Kabali GSC concession sets, which would be the first ever sets launched for a Tamil movie in the country.

On the movie itself, Datuk Rosyam says that he is confident that the film would do well in the country despite it being screened at the end of the Ramadan month, as superstar Rajinikanth will be able to draw in the masses.

The BM dubbed version of the movie is set to be released on 6 July 2016.

The KL Gangster 2 actor said that when he first received the offer to star in Kabali, he was elated to be given such an opportunity even though he only plays a supporting role in the movie.

“An acting offer to star alongside Rajinikanth is a golden opportunity I cannot pass on. The experiences I gained through my role was really valuable.”

Meanwhile, Datuk Rosyam also mentioned that he would be starring in Syafiq Yusof’s upcoming film, KL Special Force alongside Syamsul Yusof and Fattah Amin.

The 49-year-old actor is also involved in an upcoming project called Tailong, which will start shooting after the Hari Raya holidays. — Cinema Online
