TAIPEI, May 30 — She might only be 10 months’ old, but Mandopop king Jay Chou’s daughter Hathaway has already composed her first song.

She is credited as a co-composer for the song Lover From the Past which was shared by her proud father with his fans on Facebook at midnight today.

At the time of writing, it has received almost two million views.

Chou is said to have developed the new song, using a few notes that the tot tinkled on a toy organ.

Hathaway even appears at the end of the video playing with the toy.

According to a translation provided by Singapore’s Straits Times, the song opens with the text: “There is a girl, her name is Hathaway / When she was four months old, she played a melody / I am so proud of her / She is... my daughter.”

Hathaway is Chou’s first child with model wife, Hannah Quinlivan. Since her birth last year, the couple have regularly updated their fans on her progress, with posts often going viral.

Chou’s new album is due next month.
