KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 — With Ghaz Abu Bakar’s Polis Evo managing to become the highest grossing local movie in the country, he is now all set to direct his next film.

But this time don’t count on it being an action film again, as it will be an epic film titled, Putera Makassar — Mahkota Bugis.

As reported by The Malaysian Times, the film which is produced by TAQLOQ Sdn Bhd will be one of the country’s most expensive films ever at a cost of RM20 million.

The huge cost would cover the costume making, the movie sets inspired by the year 1699, and the publicity covering four countries; Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and China.

Putera Makassar — Mahkota Bugis will star well-known local actors Shaheizy Sam, Adi Putra, Wan Raja, Farhaziq, Shafiq Kyle, Izara Aishah and more.

The epic film will commence principal photography this October and is expected to be released on August 31, 2017 in the country, including in Indonesia and China as well. — CinemaOnline
