LONDON, May 19 — The rumours have been confirmed, Elton John will indeed be joining the cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

The musician confirmed the rumours that started circulating last month by posting the film’s poster on his Instagram account.

While John’s role has not been revealed, his caption which refers to his last major film role does seem to imply that he’ll have a significant role: “It’s been a long time since Tommy...”.

He’ll join a cast that includes returning lead Taron Egerton, as well as newcomers Channing Tatum, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal.

The production has hinted that Colin Firth will return as Harry Hart. Edward Holcroft is also set to appear in the film, though whether he will reprise his character is still unsure.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is set for release on June 16, 2017.
