LONDON, May 18 — The UK music festival Forgotten Fields has been cancelled due to funding issues.

The event, which was scheduled for August, was due to feature headliners Suede, Kodaline and Dizzee Rascal, alongside Kelis and Maximo Park.

A statement posted on the festival’s website, announcing the news, reads: “It’s with heavy hearts that we let you know news of this cancellation and would like to thank you for your support of the event.

“Due to the rising costs of producing a quality event of this size, we are unable to produce a show that is of the standard both our team and customers would be proud of.”

Ticketholders can opt for a refund or to swap their tickets for places at the alternative festival Standon Calling. — AFP-Relaxnews
