LOS ANGELES, April 15 ― It’s confirmed, knowledgeable pirate Maz Kanata will be appearing in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII, according to Lupita Nyong’o.

Nyong’o revealed that she will be reprising her role as the adorable character when she appeared on the Live with Kelly & Michael show and was asked her if she's involved in the next Star Wars film.

Needless to say, she answered with a resounding “yes”.

Hopefully, we’ll get to see more of Maz in Episode VIII, which is set for release on December 15, 2017.
