LOS ANGELES, April 8 — English actor Hugh Dancy has reportedly joined the cast of Fifty Shades Darker, playing the role of a psychiatrist to billionaire Christian Grey.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dancy will play Dr John Flynn, a psychiatrist that Grey starts seeing after the reappearance of his former lover (who initiated him into the world of BDSM), Mrs Elena “Robinson” Lincoln (played by Kim Basinger).

The Hannibal and Elizabeth I star’s character isn’t exactly a central character, but he’ll have a decent amount of screen time in the follow-up to the hit adaptation of E.L. James’ erotic novels.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are set to return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele as well as in the third film, Fifty Shades Freed.

Fifty Shades Darker is scheduled for release February 10, 2017, with Fifty Shades Freed to follow a year later.
