LOS ANGELES, March 24 — The Blu-Ray edition of Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be out next month but obviously that’s much too long a wait for pirates who have already leaked it.

From rough estimates, it looks as though the pirated copy has already been downloaded more than 250,000 in a mere 12 hours.

Despite Disney’s attempt to send out takedown notices to various torrent sites, a quick check of the more popular domains show that the leaked film is still making the rounds.

With thousands of seeds available, it is likely the torrent of the movie will be around for quite a long time. Still, diehard fans are stil likely going to buy the Blu-Ray for their collection so perhaps it won't be too much of a loss for DIsney.
