LOS ANGELES, March 24 — Quirky little show Parks and Recreation may be over but actor Nick Offerman wasn’t quite done once the show wrapped. He had secretly salvaged wood from the show’s set and repurposed it onto gifts for the show’s cast and crew.

Offerman is, like his character Ron Swanson, fond of and skilled at woodworking. So he made canoe paddles as gifts with a special addition: they were all stamped with the Pawnee city seal.

Pawnee was the city where the show was set and thus explains the significance of the seal. The canoe paddle gift is also rather fitting as Offerman recently published a book called Paddle Your Own Canoe.
