NEW YORK, March 8 — Amanda Seyfried has been cast to star opposite Clive Owen in a sci-fi film set in the future when the notion of privacy and anonymity have gone extinct.

In the film Anon, to be directed by Andrew Niccol, Owen plays a detective who meets a young woman (Seyfried) who mysteriously has no digital footprint and is invisible to the police.

The casting reunites the actress with Niccol, who directed the 2011 thriller In Time, which also starred Justin Timberlake.
