Siti Nurhaliza to perform at special concert before extended hiatus

KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 — Some 6,000 Celcom Xpax Yonder Music users will be entertained by singer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin at a special concert to be held at the National Stadium on April.

It will be Siti Nurhaliza’s last performance before taking a long break from the industry.

The ‘Datuk Siti Nurhaliza & Friends’ concert, to be held in conjunction with her 20th anniversary in the industry, will also show case Faizal Tahir, Hafiz Suip, Afgan, as well as Anggun and Cakra Khan from Indonesia. 

Siti, whose real name is Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin, said it would be her last large-scale concert as she planned to take a long break from the industry after that.

“The concert will be a gift for my fans and it is only for the 6,000 lucky subscribers of the ‘Yonder Music’ application.

“My artiste friends who will be at the concert will sing 20 of my popular songs,” he told a media conference for the  ‘Xpax Ignites Yonder Music - Datuk Siti Nurhaliza & Friends 20th Anniversary Concert’ here yesterday.

Meanwhile, Celcom Axiata Berhad sales and marketing chief officer Zalman Aefendy Zainal Abidin  said Xpax would once again partner with Yonder Music to organise the concert, exclusively for Xpax customers.

“The ‘Datuk Siti Nurhaliza and Friends’ concert is a unique, ‘must-see’ event that is exclusive for Yonder Music users, and she will be accompanied by a band of New York’s finest young pop musicians and a full orchestra, as well as invited local and Indonesian artists. 

“Xpax, together with Yonder Music, is continuing its promise by providing its subscribers with more exclusive and enhanced experiences in addition to exceptional access to music app on Celcom’s unparalleled and seamless network,” he added.

He said Celcom customers with Yonder Music could stand a chance to win passes to the concert by subscribing to any Monthly Internet pack which costs RM30 and above.

This can be done by SMS to 28882 and activate Yonder Music by downloading the apps via Android or Apple Apps Store before March 25. 

“For the FiRST customers ,they can subscribe to FIRST Gold Plan (RM 88 plan), by typing and send to 28882 before download and activate Yonder Music apps.

“They can also choose to subscribe to Siti Nurhaliza’s ‘Call Me Tones’ via Yonder Music apps and stand the chance to win tickets to the concert,” he added.

Zalman Aefendy said Yonder Music apps is a subscription-free service that provides its users with advertisement-free access to millions of songs to download, play and share.
