LOS ANGELES, Feb 24 — If you’re looking to put down roots in the US state of California and have a cool US$100 million (RM423 million) to burn, you might like to know that a special property has just come up for sale.
Sycamore Valley Ranch is a scenic 2,700-acre mountainside estate located in Los Olivos in California’s Santa Ynez Valley.
But you may know it by its former name: Neverland Ranch, the home of Michael Jackson.
In conjunction with the sale, Sotheby’s real estate has posted a video tour of the King of Pop’s massive estate, and we’re sure you’ll agree it’s simply breathtaking.
At its centre is a 12,000-square-foot house “fashioned after the majestic manors that line the coast of Normandy,” as Sotheby’s listing reads, which is located between two lakes and accessed via a stone bridge.

The property also features three guesthouses, a European-style hunting lodge with a subterranean wine cellar, a helipad, a 50-seat movie theatre and a dance studio, naturally.
Of course, one mustn’t forget the petting zoo, which, as you will see in the video, appears to be still occupied by a few llamas.
As befits anyone who could afford the property, there is staff housing, an administration building and an office.
According to Us Magazine, the property is being sold by real estate investment firm Colony Capital, which owns equity in Neverland Ranch after forming an agreement with Jackson in 2008 prior to Jackson’s death in June 2009 at the age of 50.
