LONDON, Feb 19 — Glastonbury’s 2016 edition will pay tribute to David Bowie who headlined the festival back in 2000.
In an interview with Radio X, festival founder Michael Eavis said Bowie’s main stage performance will be shown in its entirety on one of the stage screens.
It’s the latest tribute for the artiste who died last month. On March 31 and April 1, Bowie’s musical legacy will be honoured at Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall in New York, with performances by Debbie Harry, Michael Stipe, Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler and The Roots.
Meanwhile, PJ Harvey is the latest artist to be confirmed for the Glastonbury lineup, headlined by Coldplay. — AFP-Relaxnews
